Archimedes Sullivan träumt davon, eines Tages ein Superheld zu sein. Dieser Traum ist gar nicht so weit hergeholt, ist doch seit Kurzem bekannt, dass es seit langer Zeit schon sogenannte Genträger mit Superkräften gibt. Und wo ließe sich besser ein Superheld sein als in seiner Heimat – dem Zentrum all dieser Superkräfte – Parondon? Als eines Tages sogar bei ihm so ein Gen ausbricht, steht seinen Träumen eigentlich nichts mehr im Weg – außer dass er seine Kräfte einfach nicht kontrollieren kann. Denn diese haben ein Eigenleben und entscheiden selbst, wann sie in Aktion treten.

All Jackrabbit, Herald of the Rabbit God Leporidus, wanted to do was give his best friend Bunny a nice pre-wedding gift in the form of a trip to Japan. Naturally, Bunny is kidnapped by ninjas shortly after their arrival, forcing Jackrabbit to play superhero, detective, martial artist, video game enthusiast, street preacher, and more in his quest to rescue his friend.
