In a frenetic seven-year spell at the outset of his senior managerial career, Mickey Harte led Tyrone to four Ulster Championships and three All-Irelands. It was a run that shifted football’s balance of power, changed the way the game would be played for more than a generation and cemented his reputation as one of the most transformative figures in GAA history. Then, in January 2011, the visitation of a shocking tragedy changed everything: Mickey’s daughter, Michaela, was murdered while on honeymoon in Mauritius.

Following, rooting, dedicating oneself to the Packers is unlike any other endeavor, either within sports or in life. They are a team that has never had an owner and operates in a tiny market competing against teams from the biggest markets in the world. For those of us born at a time when our formative years saw the end of a dynasty and ushered in over two decades of agonizing mediocrity, we are among the most devoted of all Packer fans.

Drawing from his leadership and ministry experience as president of Alpha USA and Vineyard Churches USA and from his own life experiences as an ordinary Christian, Hunter calls us to reframe our salvation and discipleship. He believes that God intends us to become cooperative friends of Jesus, living in creative goodness for the sake of others through the power of the Holy Spirit.
