A washed up T.V. reporter stumbles onto a corruption scandal in Western China. The Call Home continues the same tradition as previous books based on the harrowing saga of Bill Jay Cader, Florida's most dangerous killer. The setting is Apalachicola, Florida, in The Forgotten Gulf Coast, where town USA is tucked in the mid-eighties when things were far more relaxed and backwoods in the South.
