Napoleon Bonaparte lived one of the most extraordinary of all human lives. In the space of just 20 years, from October 1795, when as a young artillery captain he cleared the streets of Paris of insurrectionists, to his final defeat at the (horribly mismanaged) battle of Waterloo in June 1815, Napoleon transformed France and Europe. After seizing power in a coup d'état, he ended the corruption and incompetence into which the revolution had descended.

This is the original interview between Andrew Carnegie and Napoleon Hill. Hill used this interview as the basis of his world famous book Think & Grow Rich.

These are entirely Napoleon Bonaparte's own words, written and spoken, and collected in journal form. A particular focus here has been put on Napoleon's writings that pertain to military and state matters. The dates in terms of the revolutionary calendar have been modernized, and names and titles of individuals mentioned have been maintained with no attempt at uniformity. This production was begun on the 250th year of Napoleon's birth.

With Think & Grow Rich being number 13 among the best-selling books of all time, it is no secret that Napoleon Hill is one of the most successful authors ever. Published in 1937, the book had sold 20 million copies by the time of Hill’s death in 1970. Then, by 2015, 100 million copies had been sold. Hill’s works are the result of Andrew Carnegie commissioning him to compose a “philosophy of individual achievement.” Carnegie was worth 380 million dollars at the time of his death, in 1919. According to Hill, the work was commissioned at the request of Andrew Carnegie, at the conclusion of a multi-day interview with Hill. It was allegedly based upon interviews with over 100 American millionaires, including self-made industrial giants such as: Henry Ford, J. P. Morgan, John D. Rockefeller, Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison, over 500 of the most successful people of the planet across nearly 20 years.

On Wednesday 22 March 2017, 52-year-old British-born Khalid Masood drove a hired vehicle across Westminster Bridge in the direction of the Palace of Westminster. He mounted the pavement twice, colliding with pedestrians, and then a third time, crashing into the east perimeter gates of the Palace of Westminster. Masood then exited the car and ran into the vehicle entrance gateway of the Palace of Westminster, Carriage Gates. The attack ended with 29 injuries and six deaths.
