Cory Dirkwood is not excited about moving from spooky Salem, Massachusetts to the boring little town of Blackford, Indiana. At least not until he spots his new home, an old funeral home, abandoned in the 1980s and left exactly as it was the day it closed. Cory soon discovers the builder of the house had his own secrets, including grave robbing and conducting medical experiments without a license, but Phineas Blackford was a man of even darker secrets.

A new big brother is joining the family and Blue doesn’t like him at all. He’s perfectly happy with his current big brother, Colt, and does not want to share. At first, Blue thinks it must be a fantasy game, but he slowly discovers Tydannon is a real place that exists in an entirely different world. Colt, Jacob, and Malkon have been there.
