Stormy Morgan is getting her life back together one step at a time. That includes reconnecting with her lost love Hunter Ryan and fixing the credit problems she found herself mired in thanks to some poor decisions while traveling. She’s also a witch, and that adjustment proves harder to make than she envisioned. Stormy is a strong woman determined to make the best of a bad situation. Her hellcat powers are starting to take over, though.

Lee Hunter was a Metropolitan police chief inspector who resigned from the service a couple of years ago, after falling foul of management, largely due to his out-of-control drinking. Having also lost his marriage and family, he moved from London and now lives in an English seaside town called Southport, "where no one knows my name". Hunter establishes a detective agency, but soon finds himself in debt and under threat of death if those liabilities aren’t repaid, and with no customers, things are looking very bleak indeed.
