The world is threatened when a headless robotic suit of armor appears out of nowhere and attacks, starting with Knoxville, Tennessee. The UCH mobilizes and sends a small team to thwart its plans. Bark, Snow, and Spark investigate the war zone, only to be attacked as well. As the team of Super-Normals are challenged to the limits utilizing their super-powers to turn back the enemy, the nearly unstoppable armor hits Bark with a strange weapon, and, soon after, something inside him begins to change - he starts to lose his mind.

In order to save their world, Talia and Landry Sutton had to wake the forgotten magic on Sendek. But instead of restoring peace, it creates chaos on the city streets, with those unable to work magic turning against those who can....When Talia and Landry travel to the planet Orek to discover how it combines magic and science, they find a new, anti-magical government...the magical outcasts beg Talia and Landry to help them rise up against their oppressors. The two must decide whether to help save Orek or return home and save their own planet.

As Bark enrolls as a full-time student of the UCH, he becomes well acquainted with the art of being a hero, as well as making new friends and falling in love. Unfortunately, the plight of the outside world waits for no one, not even a supernormal. And as expected, there are enemies around every corner. Soon, Bark finds himself in great danger as the entire UCH is put at risk of completely being overrun and obliterated by a surprising menace.
