Stumbling upon a deserted shack, the Todds find a wallet stuffed with hundred-dollar bills. In their attempt to return the money, they unwittingly stumble into a web of missing persons, illicit drugs, and murder. John’s military police training and Sara’s love of mysteries keep them one step ahead of Sergeant Hansen and the FBI, but make them targets of a drug cartel.

On 4 January 2011, millionaire businessman and governor of Punjab Salmaan Taseer was shot to death. He had been leading a campaign to amend Pakistan’s blasphemy laws, after an illiterate Christian woman was sentenced to death for blasphemy. Within hours, a Facebook page for the assassin Mumtaz Qadri had over 2000 members. Transferred to jail, Qadri was garlanded with roses by lawyers offering to take his case for free.

Alan just watched his beautiful girlfriend die from testing an unstable drug. It looks like this drug is still in the process of being released by a renegade doctor, so Alan teams up with an old friend, Ryan, to stop the dangers of the drug from hurting other people. Alan's journey leads him to some new discoveries and some decisions that may leave him in need of a cure himself. When Alan and Ryan team up with an unlikely ally, how far will they go to protect people from this dangerous drug? What more dangers are they going to uncover?

When Alan learns that Michelle is working with a small group to go against the big pharmaceutical company because of a specific drug, Alan is intrigued. For this reason, Alan takes a job offer from Michelle's boss. Not only does he get paid well, he also gets to work with Michelle and help save the world from a dangerous drug. The more Alan uncovers, though, the more questions he has about what's going on and how much time he has.

Kristi’s life is changing fast. An unfortunate accident has her raising her niece, then she meets Wes - a man she can’t help falling for. Everything seemed to be going wonderfully. Until his crazy ex-girlfriend decides she can’t let go. Liza wasn’t supposed to be part of the deal, but in her mind Kristi and her niece are in the way and need to be eliminated. Though it’s a difficult decision, Wes and Kristi put their relationship on hold to avoid problems with his ex. It doesn’t last long.
