The Call of the Wild is writer Jack London's first novel and the enormous popularity of the book put London on the literary map and propelled him to worldwide fame. He adapts to the brutal conditions and is finally acquired by a loving man. When this new owner is killed, Buck follows the ‘call of the wild’ and joins a pack of wolves.
