White Fang is a unique novel that explores the relationship between man and nature in this three- part novel by Jack London. Part one is written in the perspective of a man who, along with a partner, are transporting a body back to the city. In the dead of winter, with no food and low on ammunition, the two men are confronted by a cunning she-wolf who lures most of their dogs away one by one. Eventually, one man is killed by a hungry wolf pack and the other must learn try to survive as the wolf pack is on his tail.

Dealing with the friendship developed between a Yukon gold hunter and the mixed dog-wolf White Fang, he rescues from the hands of a man who mistreats...

London's narratives are more than epics of hardship and survival; the are morality plays in which virtuous good triumphs over corrupt evil.

Born in the Yukon, White Fang is a Wolf, or mostly Wolf - his father was a Wolf, his mother was half dog, but for all intents and purposes it was a Wolf. He looked like Wolf, fought like a Wolf, and thought like a Wolf. Early in his cubhood he was captured by an Indian, and raised as a sled dog, the Wolf nearly beaten out of him, but not quite. Subjected to human brutality and a very little human kindness he becomes a deadly fighter until rescued by a wise and kindly man. A heartwarming story.
