The poignant life-and-death odyssey begins when the Little Prince mysteriously appears in the Sahara Desert and says to a downed Aviator, "If you please, draw me a sheep". The startled Aviator complies, but his drawing is rejected, and a conversation ensues with the Little Prince asking numerous questions and telling stories about the very strange grown-ups encountered on his interplanetary journey to Earth. It is later revealed that the Little Prince must return home to asteroid B612 to care for his rose, the one (and only) flower on his small and desolate planet.

Obra maestra de la literatura universal, "El Principito" es uno de los pocos libros que supo ganar el corazón de todas las generaciones. Un aviador pierde el rumbo en el desierto de Sahara, después de haber tenido una falla en su avión. Entonces aparece junto a su inservible nave un misterioso jovencito de origen ignoto. En sus conversaciones con él, exhibe el narrador su visión de la estupidez humana y sencilla sabiduría de los niños, que la mayoría de las personas pierden cuando crecen y se hacen adultos.

Il piccolo principe (Le Petit Prince) è un racconto breve molto poetico difficilmente etichettabile come libro per ragazzi. Scritto da Antoine de Saint-Exupery nel 1943, affronta temi come l'amicizia, l'amore, l'attaccamento. Accompagnato dai disegni originali dell'autore (che sono presenti nei tag degli audiofiles) e da una delle sue musiche favorite (il Notturno n. 13 di Chopin) il racconto evoca, attraverso un velo di malinconia, la gioia di un vivere pieno, senza maschere e schemi mentali dettati dal "mondo".
