And despite his Dad selling him a car that exploded while he was heading off on his honeymoon, putting him and his new wife into a hotel in West Wyalong for a few days, Steve’s love of cars still managed to hold strong. In this episode of Along for the Ride, the talkback radio host and The Project regular reflects on his first role in journalism which saw him topping up parking meters, buying lunch for the journalists, and pushing around a tea trolley.  He responds to Anthony’s ‘unwarranted’ labelling of him as a ‘grumpy old man’ and shares his opinion on if over 65’s should have to regularly reapply for their licence.
