Episode 35 of the Prairie Dawgs Podcast is brought to you by Rumor’s Comedy Club. This episode features guest dawg Dan Duvall, who’s father’s family has roots around Wayburn and Cut Knife Saskatchewan. The Prairie Lore this week covers the Battle of Cut Knife Hill, fought on May 2, 1885, during the North-West Rebellion, occurred when a flying column of North-West Mounted Police, Canadian militia, and Canadian regulars attacked a Cree and Assiniboine teepee settlement near Battleford in the North-West Territories' District of Saskatchewan. First Nations fighters forced the Canadian forces to retreat, with losses on both sides.

In this episode of the Prairie Dawgs Podcast our hosts record on the highest floor in Winnipeg (ignore any taller buildings in the background, those are deepfake). Pogo sticks come up a lot, but the recreational bouncing pole and the battered hot dog on a stick. This week's prairie lore is about Piercy Augustus “Percy” Haynes. Thanks to our sponsor Rumor's Comedy Club.
