Hlasy, volající po odvolání reprezentačního trenéra Ivana Haška, nabraly od červnového debaklu 1:5 v Chorvatsku na síle. Neutišila je ani výhra v Černé Hoře a čerstvá domácí bezbranková remíza s Chorvaty. Vicemistr Evropy 1996 Vladimír Šmicer však s těmito hlasy nesouhlasí. „Situace není tak napjatá, abychom museli odvolávat trenéra.
