Juli 1925 stellten die zwei sozialdemokratischen Abgeordneten Adelheid Popp und Gabriele Proft den Antrag, Frauen und Männer im Familienrecht gleichzustellen - erst 50 Jahre später, nämlich 1975, wurde dies in der Ära Kreisky umgesetzt. Wir begehen also heuer das Jubiläum 50 Jahre neues Familienrecht mit der "partnerschaftlichen Ehe", in der Männer und Frauen gleichgestellt sind. Über diese Meilensteine und das „heiße Eisen“ 50 Jahre Fristenlösung geht es im Gespräch von Eva Pöttler mit der Zeithistorikerin Karin Schmidlechner.
