    Peter Nieketien started representing Nigeria from his secondary school days via the YSFON tournaments across Europe. He went on to play for the Flying Eagles and was part of the famous Chile '87 set.

    Nieketien was also part of the Maroc AFCON 88 squad and holds Manfred Hoerner in high regard. He was in the pod with Calvin 'Emeka Onwuka to look back on his playing career.
