About this listen

In this episode of the Yorkshire Business Podcast, host Chloe Wallace sits down with Doncaster founder and TEDx speaker Hannah Dunn, creator of Mind Wellbeing. Hannah is on a bold mission to change the language we use from “mental health” to “mind wellbeing” because she believes the word “mental” is loaded with fear and shame and keeps people stuck.

Together, Chloe and Hannah explore why so many approaches are reactive and reparative, why prevention has to be the priority, and how simple shifts in language can change how people connect, disclose and recover. Hannah shares her two prevention models, including a story led curriculum for children aged 3 to 7, and Mind Wellbeing Champions, a programme designed to help adults build a stronger sense of self and practical tools for managing emotions and energy.

This is an honest conversation about stigma, identity language like “I am” versus “I feel”, and why wellbeing can be improved through simple, human steps that build community and connection.
