Guitarist extraordinaire for Vio-lence and also Machine Head. Phil was an absolute great guy. It was as simple as that. As I allude to in the monologue to this podcast, when you contact people for interviews, sometimes it's simple, sometimes it is a scheduling battle as people are very busy, and sometimes when I contact someone, they just simply never respond. With Phil it was easy. I contacted him and within a few days we had a day and a time booked. It was as simple as that.Phil has been generous with his time and has done many interviews, so I chose to take the harder route and ask him questions that he either wasn't asked before or has not been asked very often.
