As many as one in four adults have high blood pressure in India and more than 60% of all deaths in India that are due to noncommunicable diseases are largely number of these deaths are linked to underlying condition of hypertension. Dr. Suzashan Mundell talks about this in his article in the Week that was published on 15 June and he mentions that among people with high blood pressure only half have been diagnosed and of those, only one in ten have blood pressure under control."
