About this listen

Welcome to the Wonderfully Broken podcast, a deeply personal journey initiated by Mackenzie Engram. Back in 2020, in the depths of her despair, Mackenzie cried out to the Lord about how she felt so incredibly broken. The Lord’s gentle response, "Yes, my daughter, but it’s a wonderful thing," is the cornerstone of this podcast's message.

Wonderfully Broken is a sanctuary for exploring the messiness of real life, anchored in truth and relatability. Picking up our cross daily often means facing the breaking of various aspects of our lives, which can be incredibly challenging. Emphasizing that such challenges, though difficult, can coexist with a wonderful grace of walking with the Lord.

The podcast promises to be a blend of emotions and experiences, from laughter to tears, from vulnerability to strength, and moments of profound honesty. It's a safe haven where uplifting and encouraging conversations will take place as well as the deep and heavy ones, all rooted in a foundation of faith in the Lord.

Mackenzie positions herself as a sister in faith, offering words of truth, life, and accountability, and she warmly encourages her listeners to do the same for her. "Wonderfully Broken" is a collective journey, a reminder that you're not alone, and with the Lord's guidance, navigating this beautiful mess we call life can indeed be a wonderfully enriching experience.

  • A Beautiful Mess | Where I've Been These Last 4 Months
    Dec 24 2025

5 months of silence doesn’t mean absence.

It means I needed space to sit with God, be honest with Him, and walk through some heavy things instead of around them.

The ending of this year hasn’t been easy, and I’m still in the fire, but I’m learning that real faith isn’t pretending everything’s okay. It’s bringing God exactly how you are and trusting Him to meet you there.

I’m thankful to be back. Grateful for grace.

And ready to step into 2026 with you, one honest step at a time 🤍

  • Yap Session | Sometimes, We Just Need to Talk
    Aug 13 2025

In this episode, I sit down with my best friend Gissell, who you’ve heard from before, for one of our unfiltered yap sessions. No script, no plan, just two friends talking about the real and raw parts of walking with the Lord.

We cover it all: grief, backsliding, performance mindset, the struggle to believe God is good, His unshakable love, sin, grace, and so much more. It’s honest, sometimes heavy, sometimes light, but always rooted in our desire to keep chasing Him through it all.

If you need a conversation that feels like sitting with friends who get it, this one’s for you.

  • It's a Journey - Part 2
    Jul 23 2025

In Part 2 of this conversation with my dear friend and brother in Christ, Amanuel Gant, we go even deeper into what sanctification looks like in real time. We talk through the daily wrestle of the flesh and the Spirit, how God is constantly refining us, and how we can stay rooted even when we fall short. Amanuel opens up about some of the tougher seasons of his walk and how the Lord faithfully brought him through each one, not perfect, but progressing.

Sanctification isn’t an overnight process; it’s a lifelong walk with the Lord. And we’re just grateful to walk it together.
