    Born and grew up in South Africa.Participated in student politics with prominent leaders of the struggle. She was elected vice President of the revived NIC in 1972. Her Family was house arrested from 1973-1981. She is founder member of the Gandhi Development trust and Editor of a newsletter -Satyagraha. She holds voluntary honorary positions in various local and international organisations promoting peace and interfaith harmony. She has served in the South African democratic parliament for 9 years and as Chancellor of Durban University of Technology for two terms. She now serves as co-President of World Conference on Religions for Peace and serves as Chairperson of Gandhi Development Trust and Phoenix Settlement Trust and member of various community organisations.

    The Human Contract is connecting ideas of the 1600/1700 philosophy of Locke, Hobbs and Rousseau, and with principles originate from United Nations declaration of the universal human rights.

    Evelin Lindner has a dual education as a medical doctor and a clinical psychologist, with a Dr. med. (Germany, 1994), and a Dr. psychol. (Norway, 2001), focussing on the dynamics of humiliation in relation to war and genocide. with case studies Rwanda and Somalia, on the background of Nazi Germany.

    Lindner lives and teaches on all continents to develop HumanDHS globally.

    Dr. Lindner has written several books, her first book, 'Making Enemies: Humiliation and International Conflict', was honoured as ‘Outstanding Academic Title’ in the U.S.A. in 2007. Late Archbishop Desmond Tutu wrote the Foreword for her third book, 'Gender, Humiliation, and Global Security'.

    In her fourth book, 'A Dignity Economy', Lindner explores ways to create an economy that serves human dignity and preserves our planet. Her sixth book, 'From Humiliation to Dignity: For a Future of Global Solidarity' was finalised in 2022.
