One of the good things about my experience at the Faber academy is that we get to turn in submissions from our drafts for agents and publishers to look at. It really pushes me to challenge myself, and see just how much my writing career is progressing. In today’s episode, I’ll be taking you through the various submissions I have to make, and I’ll be talking about the pressures I feel as the deadlines approach.

Since I began to write about the women in WW2, I’ve had this urge to claim myself as a writer on my social media accounts. In today’s episode, I’ll share with you some of the steps I’ve taken to let the world know there’s more to me than just audio and podcasting. I’ll be sharing the thoughts and feelings I had behind the scenes when taking this bold step in my writing journey.

Making a decision to achieve your biggest goal in life can only become a reality when you back it up with the right action. This is why I’ve decided to follow up my writing journey with commitment and a strategy. The path to your first novel is never a smooth one. There are times when you’ll experience the words flow, and other times you’ll run into the writer's block. This is why I’ll be discussing the realities of writing a novel, the emotional highs and lows I’ve faced during my writing experience so far, and how I manage the writer’s block each time it comes.

As I round up my course at Faber Academy, I’ve noticed just how much growth I’ve experienced on my writing journey. I realised the progress I’ve made in deciding what should go into my book, and the best ways to create my characters in the level of depth that I want for each of them. So in today’s episode, I want to share with you an overview of my writing journey so far, and the new ideas I’ve got while getting to know the characters of my book.

To create a best-selling novel, you need the perspective and reviews of other experienced writers through critical feedback. Before you can write the story of a character, you must have thought of what the character is like. You need to tell the story in a way that portrays its past, present and future without losing the attention of your readers. Today I'll be talking about the importance of getting inside the character you wish to write about. I'll also be sharing my learning experience on the path to become a novel writer.

I've always been eager to learn more about the history behind important events from the past.
