In a world marked by chaos, anxiety, and uncertainty, true rest feels rare. The world does not have rest because it does not have Jesus or lasting hope. But as believers, rest is not optional—it is our inheritance.

In this powerful message, Pastor Maurice Johnson teaches that rest is more than a feeling; it is a declaration. It signals to God, to the world, to yourself, and even to the enemy that you trust the Father and are secure in Christ.

Through biblical examples—Job, the Passover in Exodus, Rahab in Jericho, and Noah in the ark—we see a consistent pattern: protection and preservation were connected to a place of rest. While judgment and chaos unfolded around them, those who trusted God remained covered.

Rest is not passivity. It is spiritual confidence rooted in the love of God.

Pastor Maurice outlines three decisions that position believers to enter into God’s rest:

First, I will not fear. Perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Fear torments, but trust in God’s love produces stability. Many identify with Job’s suffering but forget the finished work of Jesus. Fear opens the door to torment; rest closes it.

Second, I will not doubt. When Peter walked on water, he succeeded while focused on Jesus but began to sink when he shifted his attention to the wind and waves (Matthew 14:25–32). Doubt begins when we forget the Word spoken over us. Rest comes when we fix our eyes on Christ and hold firmly to what He has said.

Third, I will not worry. Jesus commanded believers not to worry about life’s needs (Matthew 6:25–34). Worry adds nothing, solves nothing, and reflects misplaced trust. Faith acts as a shield, guarding the heart and mind. When you worry, you diminish your confidence in God’s care. When you rest, you affirm your value and His faithfulness.

Rest is spiritual warfare. Rest is trust in action. Rest is rooted in the unshakable love of God.

This episode will challenge you to examine where fear, doubt, or worry may be disrupting your peace—and call you back to the finished work of Christ.

I’m Loved by God – Part 4

In Part 4 of I’m Loved by God, Pastor Maurice Johnson calls you to move beyond hoping God loves you—and step into confident certainty that He does.

Matthew 6:33 isn’t about striving—it’s about receiving. Through faith and patience, you inherit the promises. There is never a problem on the giving end with God. If there’s a blockage, it’s on the receiving end—and that’s your responsibility.

The Father called Jesus His Son. He calls you His son. Romans 9:25–26 reminds us that identity is given, not earned. Some struggles persist because believers think beneath their sonship. Be alert to thoughts that produce spiritual inertia. Your default thinking matters. Feeling good is not a bonus—it’s baseline for someone who knows they are loved.

The Father heard Jesus—and He hears you (John 11:41–42; John 16:23–27). The foundation of answered prayer is not performance, but love. God answers because He loves.

The Father gave angels charge over Jesus, and He gives angels charge over you. Protection is not wishful thinking—it’s covenant reality.

And just as Jesus was given a new identity after the cross—High Priest, Captain and Bishop of our souls—you too have been given a new identity. You are not who you were.

This episode dismantles comparison, striving, and fear. It confronts the lie that things are escaping you. What God has declared yours cannot outrun you.

The devil is not your equal. Circumstances are not your master.

What you want, wants you.

In I’m Loved by God – Part 2, Pastor Maurice Johnson builds a grounded, scripture-driven case for living from a settled revelation of God’s love rather than fluctuating emotions or fleshly thinking.

Drawing heavily from the writings of John and Paul, this message explains why love, light, and grace sit at the center of the gospel—and why intimacy with Jesus produces confidence, not insecurity. John’s closeness to Jesus reveals something critical: awareness of God’s love is spiritual, not emotional. Romans 5:5 makes it clear—God’s love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
