About this listen
The Janes were an activist organization that formed to facilitate safe abortions for women in the Chicago area in the 1970s. They were so underestimated in the previously male- and mafia-controlled abortion world that they were able to operate unimpeded for enough time to have saved the lives of thousands of women, and most importantly, changed the lives of many in teaching that women could be kind to one another. Join us as we discuss this amazing group of women and explore the impact that they had then, and now. Also! Stay tuned at the end for a special Puckwudgie tale from our amazing friend Keith of Squid's Ink Tattoo, a local of the Bridgewater Triangle.
