This episode is a reset.
As we step into a new year and ahead of Season 2, I wanted to pause and be honest about something I can’t ignore anymore. Amateur leadership isn’t just a workplace problem. It’s a life problem. And for a long time, I was participating in it too.
In this solo episode, I break down what amateur leadership really looks like, why it shows up so easily in our lives, and what it costs us when we let standards slide. I talk openly about where I’ve been reacting instead of leading, avoiding instead of owning, and why I made the decision to stop being casual about becoming dependable.
Using examples from professional sports, leadership psychology, and real life, I define what professional leadership actually means to me now. Not perfection. Not hype. Consistency, preparation, and responsibility.
Think Like a Leader exists to end amateur leadership by helping emerging leaders become the most dependable person in any room they walk into. This episode explains why that mission matters and why it starts with me.
Season 2 begins next week. This is the line in the sand.
