Well, it's been a minute Whiskers family!

We've been so busy with our fall season and the beginning of the school year. We decided with the post-season and Halloween just around the corner, we just HAD to make some time to record. And we've got a special treat.

Our two newest additions to the Northwestern Women's Soccer Staff are here to say hello! Join your hosts Brooke Miller and Rich Manning as we introduce you to Assistant Coaches Rowan Lapi and Reaghan Duvall.

Rowan Lapi is a former Northwestern captain who has returned to Evanston to coach this season. Rowan is currently playing professional soccer in Sweden for KIF Orebro. She is rehabilitating an injury she suffered this season and we are pumped to have her back to pass along her soccer wisdom to our 2025 'Cats.

Rowan shares some of her memories as a player here as well as her thoughts about starting her coaching career.

Reaghan Duvall came aboard this summer after serving as an assistant at Robert Morris University. Reaghan was a star goal keeper at Campbell University during her playing days.

You will hear Reaghan talk about her goal keeping roots and her impressions of Northwestern and this year's team.

Plus you will hear some fun stories and, of course, the LIGHTNING ROUND of questions.

Well, the first month of the season has been a whirlwind!

2 exhibitions, 7 non-conference games, 7 road trips, lots of dorm moves, meals on the run...but 0 classes

Whiskers is finally back to update you on the 2025 'Cats so far...

Senior Brooke Miller and Assistant Coach Rich Manning welcome two of our Super Sophs - Ava Goodin and Mary Stroebel to get you caught up.

We start by discussing the season so far...all the travel, forming a "new team", preparing for the start of classes next week and re-living some of the highs...

Ava and Mary are two of our most interesting and two of our most active 'Cats. They talk about participating in activities outside of soccer and school. What do they do? What motivates them to invest time in other things? How do they manage all of it?

And, finally, a FAST and CONTENTIOUS Lightning Round will include heated answers about talking pets, kitchen appliances and Wonders of the World!

After you listen, make plans to see Brooke, Ava, Mary and the WHOLE team as we start BIG10 play. Home matches are at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium and admission is FREE.

Our Little 'Cats are growing up right before your eyes.

We wanted to check in with some of our most veteran players and see how life is changing for them as they enter their last year of school and last season of college soccer.

    We explore several topics:

Living off campus. Upper division courses and finding connections and career opportunities. Becoming leaders on the team and working toward a successful fall season.

Senior Brooke Miller welcomes her classmates:

    Reiley Fitzpatrick - GK

    Caterina Regazzoni - MF

    Ramira Ambrose - DEF

    Kelsey Kwon - MF

We ended up talking quite a bit about cooking and socializing and how things change when you move off campus. And we discussed how the team is improving through the winter and how their roles on the team have changed.

Listen and here some great insight to college soccer and university life from people that are living the life!
