When I work I am either contributing or adding to something that is in progress yet incomplete (bringing order to chaos) or I am identifying a void or a gap and am creating or contributing to something to fill that void (creating something out of nothing).

As we step into our workweek, let’s adopt this mindset: our work is a canvas, and we are the artists. Through our efforts we bring form to the formless and order to chaos. Let’s celebrate the opportunity to contribute, to make a difference, and to participate in the ongoing creation of our world.

As we face our work, let us embrace our role as creators. Let’s seek out the voids, the unmet needs, the unanswered questions, and respond with creativity and purpose. In doing so, we do more than work; we bring new realities into existence. We fill the world with our contributions and reflections of our imagination.

  • It's all Meaningless

Join me as I explore the intriguing biblical book of Ecclesiastes. The writer starts out with a motivational speech for the ages when they write "Everything is meaningless, utterly meaningless."

    Alright! Good night!

Seriously, this is probably my favourite book of the bible. It is raw, it is real, it does not shy away from life's tensions, questions, confusions and contradictions.

  • Where are you and why are you Here?

When God, or your therapist, asks you this question it is good to answer as truthfully as you can. As truthfully as we can because we don’t always have the full picture ourselves. That’s why the question is so important. It begins the process of drawing us out so that we can restore order to the chaos we have created or are running from. The question sets us on a path of healing, growth and reconnecting with the beauty we long for.
