About this listen

Where We Gather is a faith-centered podcast for women who want to draw closer to Jesus Christ through personal study and gathering with others.

Each episode creates space to slow down, listen, and gather our hearts to the Savior. Through thoughtful discussions, personal stories, and reflections on scripture and the words of living prophets, Where We Gather explores how Christ teaches, heals, and invites us into deeper trust and discipleship.

Host Audra Elkington, a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, brings a grounded and compassionate perspective shaped by her own journey of stepping away from the Church and returning with intention. By rebuilding her testimony from the foundation up and focusing on her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Audra learned that the Savior Himself is the center of gathering.

This podcast is for anyone who:

  • Wants to feel more connected to Christ
  • Desires a more meaningful approach to scripture study
  • Longs for honest, faithful conversations that nourish the soul
  • Feels called to gather, invite, and share in quiet, authentic ways

Where We Gather is rooted in the belief that the gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone who is willing to turn toward Him. And that gathering Israel often begins in small, faithful moments of connection.

Audra has been featured on LDS Living's 'This is the Gospel,' Time Out for Women, and has taught at FSY, Online Institute, and SALT Gathering. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University.

  • Trusting Jesus When You're Out of Strength with Haylee Marshall
    Feb 10 2026

What do you do when you want to stay faithful but you don’t have the strength to keep holding on?

In this episode of Where We Gather, Audra sits down with her dear friend Haylee for a conversation about trusting Jesus Christ during seasons of physical exhaustion, spiritual stretching, and overwhelming responsibility.

Using the Book of Mormon account of the Tree of Life, Haylee shares powerful insights from Elder David A. Bednar’s teachings about the difference between clinging to the iron rod and holding fast.

Together, they explore how covenants, scripture study, and the Holy Ghost bind us securely to Jesus Christ, especially when our own strength isn’t enough. This conversation speaks honestly to those navigating chronic illness, demanding callings, motherhood, or any season where faith feels limited but sincere.

  • Faith Over Fear: Parenting With Trust, Patience, and Christlike Love with Cheryl Cardall
    Feb 3 2026

What do you do when your child makes choices you don’t understand or when parenting feels heavier than you ever expected?

In this hope-filled conversation, Audra sits down with Cheryl Cardall to talk honestly about loving our children when fear, disappointment, and uncertainty creep in.

Through the New Testament story of the Prodigal Son, they explore how Jesus Christ teaches us to parent with patience, grace, and deep trust in God’s plan.

This episode is for parents who:

    • Love their children deeply but feel overwhelmed or afraid
    • Are learning to let go of the “perfect family” ideal
    • Want to trust Jesus Christ more fully with their child’s journey
    • Need reassurance that waiting, loving, and hoping still matter

Together, Audra and Cheryl discuss how the Atonement of Jesus Christ can quiet fear, how to love without coercion or shame, and why our role as parents is to serve not to save.

You’ll hear gentle encouragement for parents of struggling, wandering, neurodivergent, or mentally vulnerable children, and a reminder that God’s plan is bigger, longer, and more merciful than we often realize.

  • Overcoming Fear and Anxiety Through Faith in Jesus Christ with Karen Papin
    Jan 27 2026

In this episode of Where We Gather, I’m joined by Karen Papin, host of the Divine Worth Podcast and certified life coach, for a powerful conversation about overcoming fear and anxiety through faith in Jesus Christ.

Together, we explore two familiar scripture stories - Peter walking on water and Jesus calming the storm - and look at them through a personal, lived-experience lens. Karen shares her journey with anxiety, fear, and learning to trust the Savior enough to step out of the boat, even when the wind and waves never fully disappear.

We talk about what it really means to keep our eyes on the Savior, how Christ meets us immediately when we begin to sink, and why fear doesn’t mean a lack of faith but rather an invitation to come closer to Jesus Christ. This conversation gently challenges common “stay in the boat” assumptions and reframes faith as both staying with Christ and sometimes courageously stepping toward Him.

If you’re navigating fear, anxiety, uncertainty, or spiritual stretching, this episode offers reassurance, scripture-based insight, and simple invitations to act that can strengthen your discipleship, trust in the Lord, and confidence before God.

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • Overcoming fear and anxiety through faith in Jesus Christ
    • What Peter walking on water teaches us about trust and focus
    • How Christ shows up in the middle of life’s storms
    • The role of weakness in spiritual growth (Ether 12:27)
    • Learning to pause, be still, and listen for the Savior’s guidance

🎧 You’ll walk away encouraged to trust that Jesus Christ is in the boat with you, aware of the storm, and powerful enough to calm it.
