About this listen

I went no contact with my father and emotionally cut off my family. It wasn’t something I wanted to do but needed to. For too long, I’ve been the laughing stock of my family in moments I’ve needed them the most. My mental health doesn’t get taken seriously but gets made fun of/ignored and that isn’t love. It’s bullying. It’s manipulation even especially when they try to continue on like nothing happened. So in removing myself, I liberated myself and found community in people who actually love me the way I need. And it’s a beautiful disaster! I’m learning to love it more, every single day.

Although that’s unfortunate, in calling back that power I was able to do so in other aspects of my life too. I confronted the men that have assaulted me and made a very unexpected friend in doing so. This is a podcast about continuing to hope for GOOD in this world and not giving up on your inner voice. There will be many doors closed in your face and locked but you have a master-key within you for doors meant for you if you take the time to curate it.
