  • What Does a Family Lawyer Do? with Jill Roberts
    May 1 2026

In this episode, Jill Roberts, a family lawyer, shares insights into the wide scope of family law, including divorce, and legal planning such as prenuptial agreements. Family law is far more than paperwork - it's often about managing incrediblly emotionally complex and sensitive situations, with a balance of expertise and compassion.

We've all seen it in a TV show or movie: the scene where the argument between the unhappy couple reaches fever pitch, and one of them yells, "you'll be hearing from my lawyer!" What usually follows next is a either a scene where the couple are in a room together, only talking to each other via their lawyers, or a painful court case (or lines painted down the middle of rooms if it's a comedy).

But as Jill explains in this episode, the involvement of a family lawyer before or during this process can remove a lot of the arguments, because after all, long after the lawyers are gone, former partners are still likely to need to deal with each other in a cordial way.

  • What Does a Cybersecurity Consultant Do? with Martin Cadwallader
    Apr 24 2026

In this episode, cybersecurity consultant Martin Cadwallader shares insights into the importance of cybersecurity for small businesses, common vulnerabilities, and practical steps to protect your organisation.
The thing that I find about any kind of IT support, is that when everything is working correctly, you don't notice it's there. You start to think that you don't need it. Cybersecurity is similar. It may not look like it's doing anything, but it's the only thing standing between losing confidential customer data, and ultimately money.
As we discover in this episode, being complacent about cybersecurity can be catastrophic for your business.

  • What Does a Professional Organiser Do? with Kath Holmes
    Apr 17 2026

In this episode, professional organiser Kath Holmes shares insights into her profession, including how she approaches decluttering, the emotional aspects involved, and tips for staying organised.
I imagine you're reading this having never realised that Professional Organiser is a job that actually exists. With only 400 of them in the UK, it's not surprising you may never have heard of them. Made popular by TV shows both here and in the US, professional organising has grown into a legitimate and in-demand profession, with both accreditations and a full-on Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers.

  • What Does a Personal Stylist Do? with Elise Hughes
    Apr 10 2026

In this episode of the What Do You Do? podcast, Adam chats with Elise Hughes, Personal Stylist from the House of Colour.

Thanks to films and TV, when we picture personal stylists, we picture judgy dismissive types, suggesting expensive one-time outfits, and only available to the rich and famous. But what if instead, working with a personal stylist could make you feel empowered, and help you get the most value out of your clothes?

When you know what suits you, you can feel confident buying something more expensive, rather than something on sale, because you know it will last for years and you will get the value out of it.”

  • What Does a DISC Practitioner Do? with Dawn Hardman
    Apr 3 2026

On this episode of the What Do You Do? podcast, Adam is joined by Dawn Hardman, a DISC Practitioner, to understand what exactly it is that she does.

When we think of personaility tests, it's easy to think of online quizzes with ridiculous results, but a DISC assessment is anything but that. A DISC assessment undertaken with a licensed DISC Practitioner can be transformative for both individuals and teams. It enhances self-awareness, improves communication, and can lead to better team dynamics. If you’re looking to get a better understanding of how you or your team can work more effectively, undertaking a DISC assessment could be a worthwhile investment.

"Ultimately, everyone wants the same result. They just get it
in a different way, and it's just having that understanding."

    Mar 27 2026

In this episode of the What Do You Do? podcast, Adam is joined by Dr Lizzy Bernthal, a renowned speaker, coach and author to discuss resilience.

Resilience is often misunderstood, but crucially important. It's the skill that helps us to endure and overcome the most difficult challenges we face in our lives. But as Lizzy explains, we show resilience everyday, even when we get out of bed when we don't want to.

"Resilience is not just for strong people. When facing adversity, you don’t feel resilient, but you are."

  • What Does a Videographer Do? with Adam Hanslow-Smith
    Mar 13 2026

For this episode we turn the tables as regular What Do You Do? host Adam is interviewed by Dandelion Video Production co-founder Carolin Heel, about what he does the rest of the time – produce videos for startups, small businesses and charities.---There’s one big misconception around videography, and it’s to do with equipment. Some people think that videography only counts if you have the most expensive cameras, a crew including people called “grips,” and a heinous budget.Other people think that if you buy some professional video equipment, you’re suddenly a professional videographer (let me finish before you accuse me of being snobby). The truth is, any half-decent videographer (not good, or great – half-decent), should be able to make a video with any camera. You don’t need to buy expensive equipment. If you film on your phone, you can still be an excellent videographer. The most important pieces of video production kit are your eyes, ears, and imagination.#whatdoyoudo To find out more about Dandelion Video Production, visit our website: https://www.dandelionvideo.co.uk/If you'd like to start your own podcast - whilst simultaneously supporting this one - you can sign up for Riverside with our affiliate link: https://riverside.sjv.io/DW0q7100:00 What Do You Do? podcast intro
