  • Special Sermon: To Call Them ‘Brothers’ (2 Thess. 2:13-15)
    Oct 20 2025

BIG IDEA: To call lost people ‘Brothers’ requires conditions to be met.
*Six conditions that must be met:
    1) To call them ‘brothers’ they must be chosen by God.
    2) To call them ‘brothers’ they must be saved through sanctification by the
    Spirit.
    3) To call them ‘brothers’ they must be saved through belief in the truth.
    4) To call them ‘brothers’ they must be called by God.
    5) To call them ‘brothers’ they must be preached to.
    6) To call them ‘brothers’ they must be firm/stand firm.

    2 Thess. 2:13-15

  • Ruth-33: The Offspring That the LORD Will Give You (Ruth 4:7-12)
    Oct 6 2025

BIG IDEA: Through a redeemer, the dead can live on in the living.

    * Four parts of the process to perpetuate the name of the dead:

1)The custom to confirm the right to redeem. (v.7-8)

2)The exercise of that right to redeem. (v.9-10)

3)The response to notarize the transaction. (v.11a)

4)The blessing of the witnesses. (v.11b-12)
