About this listen

Thank you for joining us on our first podcast, we are excited to speak to you all. Hosts Gemma and Paul are part of the academic faculty delivering an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice apprenticeship program here in the North East of England. With a passion for all things advanced practice, education and clinical supervision the hosts will bring you monthly podcasts on topics related to the development of trainee ACP's and advanced practice in general.

Join us for our first virtual trainee ACP led Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) conference showcasing the innovative work undertaken in clinical practice including lessons learnt and future aims.

It is an exciting time in Advanced Practice, the expansion of the role across the multiprofessional domains of healthcare presents many opportunities, and challenges.

Hear from our trainee ACPs and recent graduates, who will share their journey of the implementation of ACP roles within their area of practice. We will explore the development of the ACP role in mental health, pharmacy, orthopaedic services and urology. Alongside the challenges and development of ACP education in practice from the viewpoint of both the trainee and educational supervisor. Finishing with an educational update on what’s new in ACP education.
