Wellington Phoenix have secured a surprise win over Adelaide United, lifting them to 6th in the A-League.

An early goal from Alex Rufer and a penalty from Ramy Najjarine helped the team secure a 2-1 victory over the South Australian side.

And tonight Auckland FC take on the Newcastle Jets at the Go Media Stadium, where a win would take them to the top of the table.

22 years on from cricket introducing the shortest format, T20 has become the vehicle in which the sport is growing around the world, and New Zealand is next to be added to the list of countries that partake in the franchise.

The franchise led by the Indian Premier League has expanded to nations such as England, Australia, Pakistan, the West Indies and South Africa.

A documentary about Golfing legend Michael Campbell's career is set to release tonight.

The Kiwi won the 2005 US Golf Open, and continued to play at the highest levels till 2015, when he retired. However, he has since been playing on the Legends Tour where he tied for 14th in 2025.

Campbell sat down with Jason Pine to discuss the documentary and reflect on his career in the world of professional golf.

The Black Caps are looking ahead to the next test series.

A three-test series is coming up against The West Indies before Christmas, starting on Tuesday in Christchurch, and then test matches at the Basin Reserve in Wellington and Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui before Christmas.

Developed by The R&A and Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, the prestigious championship provides a pathway to the international stage.

Beyond the elite competition, the championship continues its vision to support the development of world-class players in countries throughout the region via the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Academy.

Kiwi cricket icon Mark Greatbatch has a new role: President of New Zealand Cricket.

His career in the sport included iconic knocks such as saving a draw against Australia at the WACA in 1989, batting for 11 hours, and pioneering the pinch hitting role at the top of the ODI batting order.

Greatbatch joined Piney to discuss his new role and some of his iconic cricketing moments.

“In this role you’ve got to listen and see what the pulse of the game is. There’s some really exciting and challenging at the same time things happening in world cricket at the moment.”
