Welcome back to part 2 of my chat with Mainey! 

I think I said this in my last episode description, but I definitely didn't see this chat going the way it did. Until this chat, I didn't think much about the folks who are credited as 'song writers' for artists. 

This was such an eye opening chat as it exposed a vital function within the music industry that doesn't get a lot of attention. The grind and hustle it takes to make a career as a song writer sounds absolutely insane. 

I know it's a quite a lengthy chat, but once you start to hear some of the aspects of Mainey's life and his journey through the music industry, I know you'll be as enthralled as I was.

Fun fact of the day, apparently most podcasts only tend to average 7 episodes. So I'm feeling very happy about the fact that I've been able to stick to this for 2 months now! 

This might potentially be one of my favourtie interviews I've done so far. Mainey came across my stream one day and asked some very interesting questions about my set up. Then one of my mods Iggy363 did some digging and found out that Mainey had an absolutely CRAZY voice. 

I kinda had a feeling that Mainey had a story to tell and I was 1000% correct. So much so that we've had to split it over two episodes.

Rob has had such an interesting journey with music. From humble beginnings to winning awards for arrangements of Dire Dire Docks from Super Mario 64, Rob has produced music for a wide variety of mediums. 

Rob's personal work draws from a variety of personal experiences when it comes to relationship and loss. Having spent many years in therapy myself, it was great hearing how much of an impact it has had on another musicians life.

Welcome to episode 8 of We Might Be Crazy. Today I am joined by a fantastic musician and a good friend of mine, Tom Southey. 

I've been privileged to watch Southey's explosive growth on Twitch. From him absolutely blowing me away with his looping skills to then having an amazing run on the front page, we join him today with over 10k followers on Twitch and having just reached a milestone of 500k plays on his debut single 'Run River'. 

We explore his journey from winning an engineering award to full time musician and how he used Twitch to initially promote his first single during lock down which turned into so much more.

Hello friends! Welcome to episode 7 of We Might Be Crazy

This week, I have my good friend (and fellow collaborator) Mirabelle Jien. I’ve known Mirabelle for roughly a year and a half now and I still remember the day she slid into my DM’s with a ‘wanna collab?’ 

We’ve released two awesome covers (expertly product by Mirabelle) and currently working on a third to be released in the coming weeks. I of course had to have Mirabelle on the show. 

From the outside looking in, Mirabelle seems like she can do it all. A classical flautist, guitarist, vocalist, looper, producer, photographer and podcaster. I am always astounded by her work ethic and the production quality of her finished items. 

There is (as most creatives know) a price to pay with taking on this many projects and learning to deal with burnout is extremely important. 

We talk about her journey from studying classical music, to how she discovered Twitch and how her podcast 'Makin' It' was creative and how it's helped her.

Yinny and I met at my old workplace and I found out that we were both on the same path of wanting to be content creators. We've had many talks about content strategies and branding and she started streaming just a little bit after me. 

One thing I've always been impressed with is Yinny's planning when it comes to her brand and content. Everything is extremely consistent and it definitely shows when you look at her rapid growth on Tiktok and Twitch.

Welcome to episode 5 of We Might Be Crazy! 

The past few years for Yeju have been absolutely crazy. Growing to 100k followers on Twitch, moving to Korea with little to no support network whilst streaming 5-6 days a week is a feat not many can achieve. 

When I heard how much of herself Yeju was putting into her streams, it left me a little gobsmacked. I knew she was a hard worker, but I didn't realise to the extent. I struggle with 3-4 days per week before I start feeling the burn out. 

This conversation goes from Yeju's beginnings as a classically trained violinist to how she fell out of love with the instrument and lost a bit of her identity all the way to the present day. I hope you enjoy the conversation.

Welcome to episode 4 of We Might Be Crazy! 

Today I have with me a very talented variety streamer, Honey Ducky. 

They are a non-binary streamer who I've been looking forward to having a chat with for a long time. As soon as we hopped on a call together, I noticed that they consistently try to overcome obstacles and they don't let the absence of knowledge stop them from attempting something they want to do. 

I think there's a lot of people (especially ones who want to pursue a career in something like content creation) make excuses to not start when obstacles come up, myself included. 

I think there's a lot to be learned from this conversation because I feel like Ducky consistently pushes past these obstacles in a way that is very inspiring.
