3. Is there a way we can better hold one another accountable to walk in holiness?

Family Discussion Questions – Feb. 25, 2026

1. When his fellow brothers and sisters were distressed and afflicted, Paul was distressed and afflicted with them. As a family, how can we do a better job of modeling this in one another’s lives—to “bear one another’s burdens” (Gal. 6:2)?
2. As a family, what are ways we can give thanks to God for one another and praise him together for what he’s done in our life?
3. As a family, in what ways can we work to “supply what is lacking in one another’s faith” (v. 10)? In other words, in what ways do we need to grow in our faith, and how can we help one another do that?

Family Discussion Questions – Feb. 18, 2026

1. Paul talked about suffering often. Jesus talked about it even more. The New Testament is filled with warnings, promises, and pleas for Christians to endure through suffering. Why do you think many people in today’s church don’t talk much about suffering?
2. Why do you think God gives Christians such frequent reminders about this inevitable suffering that we will face?
3. Paul says his fear was that Satan might cause the Thessalonians to fall away as a result of their suffering. This could also happen to us. How can we be sure that it doesn’t—that “no one be moved by these afflictions”?

Family Discussion Questions – Feb. 11, 2026

1. Who are some people in our lives that we can invest in together as a family? Who are some unbelievers we can invest in to reach with the gospel? Who are some fellow believers we can invest in to encourage them in the gospel?
2. How can we expect Satan to hinder us? What physical oppositions may come? What spiritual opposition might we face? What personal fears must we overcome?
3. As a family, do we truly believe that faithfully giving our lives to doing this—to doing gospel ministry and making disciples—is worth it? Why or why not?
