 Irgendwie hat John Lennon mit der Entstehung des letzten Nummer 1 Hits von Billy Joel zu tun - sozusagen generationenübergreifend. Auch wenn der Song der größte Erfolg für Joel war, nicht nur charttechnisch, sondern sogar gesellschaftlich, so hat er selbst ein wirklich nicht gutes Verhältnis zu dem Song - das mag auch an der generellen Kritik liegen, die es eigentlich immer hagelt, wenn der Mann was rausbringt.
