About this listen

Welcome to Walk Like a Hebrew, the podcast in which we talk with Torah-pursuant Christians from all over about how on earth they got from THERE - wherever that was - to HERE - walking out a life that combines faith in Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah with an emphasis on being set-apart by keeping the Torah of YHVH (God). Torah, commonly translated as "Law," literally means "instructions" in Hebrew. We live by 1 John 2:6, "Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked." We eat Biblically clean as He did, we observe the Seventh-Day Sabbath and celebrate the Biblical feasts just as He did. How do YOU walk out your faith? Do you walk like an Egyptian? A Babylonian? Like the world? Or like the One who died for you? Let's talk about it!© 2025 Walk Like a Hebrew Christianity Judaism Spirituality

Welcome to Walk Like a Hebrew, the brand-new podcast in which we talk with people from all over about how on earth they got from THERE — wherever that was — to HERE — walking a life of faith that combines Torah Keeping with faith in Yeshua the Messiah.

Today I’m telling my OWN story of how I came to find myself in this walk of faith, and how I dragged my family along with me.

This week's podcast features an interview with Jeanette McHenry of Northern California. This interview was done with my iPhone at a gathering of Torah-keepers just before Thanksgiving in 2019. The audio quality isn't great--lots of things happening in the background!--but the story is both hilarious and poignant!

Here are some definitions of words that may not be familiar:

Shabbat: Sacred time, set apart by God at creation, that begins every Friday at sundown and ends Saturday just after sundown. During this time, no work may be done as per the 4th commandment, Exodus 20:8-11

Oneg: A Shabbat tradition in which friends and relatives gather to eat food prepared ahead of time, sing, dance and spend time together. May include a lecture/sermon or Biblical discussion.
