Hosted by husband and wife, Allen and Donna Stare. Allen started in radio at age 15 in 1980. When he walked into his first radio station, all he knew about radio came from watching the first two seasons of "WKRP in Cincinnati."     WELCOME BACK!
    Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! It's time for another episode of the "WKRP-Cast"...and...well. Okay, so this is bad. Really bad. If you don't know this episode, consider yourself lucky. If you DO know this episode, please keep reading. We know superfans who will NOT watch this one...but we're giving it a shot! After last week's AMAZING "Turkeys Away" episode, the fine folks at MTM...or CBS...or somebody said this should be the follow-up to one of the greatest half hours in television. This is very bad all on its own...but when you put it up against "Turkeys" it becomes monumentally bad in comparison. If you should happen to like this episode, we hope you have a sense of humor. If you REALLY like this episode...you'd probably better not listen. The other 99.897% of you are going to have a blast. Things get comedically bloody...claws come out...hair color is questioned...you'll have fun in spite of the horrific episode, we promise!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies, this one is about as bad as it can possibly get. Hold your nose and hit 'play' !!

For reasons you'll have to listen to in the "Prolog" episode, all streaming versions of the original "WKRP in Cincinnati" have had the original music cues removed. Generic music beds and stings were used in place of the original music for the syndicated version of the series. 'Shout Factory' has been able to restore an estimated 85% of all WKRP music cues to the original "as-aired" content for their DVD release. They've also restored scenes that had been cut to shorten episodes for syndication. The original eps ran 25 minutes. The syndication eps were shortened to 22 minutes. Over 88 episodes that's more than four hours of lost content, including the performance by "Detective" at the end of "Hoodlum Rock." Get the COMPLETE series...get the Shout Factory DVDs. The Shout Factory complete series box has a release date of 2014. All individual seasons of Shout Factory disks were released starting in 2015.]

Her idea, "Cincinnati Beat" is tapped by Andy to be the next big Public Service program on WKRP. The only problem...a show like this requires guests, and good ones. Cue the nutballs! Cincinnati's leading eccentrics have gathered in the WKRP lobby! Bailey's call for participants nets some of the most deliciously deraigned attendees imaginable. Mrs. Woodruff's Hatchback Supreme has done some interstellar commuting, Mr. Eisenhower is about to run you down and Dr. Monroe has a cure for us all!! The WKRP-Cast is on the air! Grab your brains, fellow babies, this is just what the Dr. ordered!!

    Hey!! It's Allen and Donna Stare! Welcome back to another episode of the "WKRP-Cast." Be careful...you might not be ready for Hamilton Camp!! We're headed to Del's Stereo for "Hold Up". Herb sold a remote down at Del's Stereo and Sound. Johnny gets roped into doing talent for the gig (on a Saturday!). Del is such a ball of nervous energy he's just short of exploding. When a gunman walks in on the remote things get really weird. When he wants on the air, you know you could only be watching an episode of WKRP!! Remember the old tuner you had that could double as a boat anchor?? Del probably sold it to you! We've got a Union Broadcast Engineer with a 'tude, an out of work deejay with a gun AND we're going to find out just what the heck a "Wingy Menone" is!! We might even do a little target practice on some speakers. The WKRP-Cast is on the air...grab your brains, fellow babies, and don't miss it!!
