About this listen
This episode is our second episode in English, and this time we open a door that had remained closed for many of our international friends: we finally speak about our book in English. Until now, many people may have seen us sharing about the podcast or the book, but could not really access the content because it was only available in Italian. In this episode, we offer a first clear introduction to what the book is about, why we wrote it, and how it can support parents, teachers, educators, and anyone who wants to work on themselves in order to educate others more consciously.
Starting from the image of the wheel, Francesco and Chiara explain how the book is structured and what its core message is: if we do not work on ourselves, we risk simply repeating old patterns. The book explores the importance of personal work, including attention, awareness, personal history, responsibility, psychic plurality, attitude, and progress. It then moves into daily life, where communication, self-acceptance, mistakes, and empathic relationships become central. From there, it opens into the broader theme of new education, showing how we do not need to reinvent everything from scratch, but can learn from the wisdom, mistakes, and discoveries of those who came before us. Finally, the book invites readers to connect with their goal and ideal, grounding meaningful dreams in simple, concrete daily actions.
Another important element of the book is its visual language. Francesco and Chiara explain that the illustrations are not decorative, but part of the text itself. Created together with Italian comic artist and teacher Chiara Abastanotti, the images help communicate ideas in a deeper and more accessible way. This makes the book especially rich for readers who connect strongly through visual learning. Altogether, this episode is both an introduction and an invitation: to discover the book, to reflect on one's own wheel, and to begin — step by step — from within.
