今回、5週にわたってお送りしている特集のテーマは、
＜下書きのない勝負 ～ちょっと目線をあげて～＞
墨絵は一筆一筆が真剣勝負。
失敗を恐れていては作品に息吹が宿りません。
描き直しがきかない「墨の世界」に挑み続ける、
墨絵画家・小林東雲さんをお迎えして、
墨絵を通して見えてくる人生哲学のヒントを伺っています。
小林さんは、1961年東京生まれ。
幼少期に、書道教師であった母から書道を学び、
高校時代には、中国の芸術家との交流を通じて、
水墨画や書道、篆刻に大きな感銘を受けました。
1987年には、パリで開かれた「日本の美術展」で壁画を制作。
翌年には、東京で展覧会を開催しました。
その後は、ヨーロッパ、アメリカ、中国へと活動の場を広げ、
1992年には、日中友好20周年を記念し、
北京の中国歴史博物館で個展を開催。
以来、日本的な墨絵の世界を探求し続けています。
第2回目。
まずは、小林東雲さんに、国際的に注目を集める墨絵の現状と、
今後の活動の展望について伺いました。
