Vital Arts podcast unpacks our three micro-credentials, or digital badges. These recognise transferable skills learnt through arts practice. Our micro credentials focus on four key competencies and five character qualities that employers, educators and communities value. These are called 21st Century Skills by the World Health Organization and UNESCO. These skills are transferable, preparing young people not only for creative industries employment, but also for further education, broad employment and civic life. Vital Arts can be embedded in your existing practice to formally recognise these skills while young people produce a show or stage a concert, giving participants real, portable evidence of their achievements. Vital Arts is a not for profit business launched out of Australian Research Council industry partnership funding. Our co-funders include The Push Inc., ATYP, Creative Australia, CMY, Carclew, Corrugated Iorn, and Back to Back Theatre. To award Vitals Arts creds in your organisation email vitalarts123@gmail.com.

"Youth arts programs don’t just build artistic talent, they grow the skills young people need to thrive in a fast-changing and AI-driven world."
