Hello and Welcome to Virgo Season 2025!


This season starts with a New Moon that supports being intentional and ritualistic around setting up new routines that nourish the physical body and build supportive habits as we shift into the intense energy of eclipses season and Pluto moving out of bounds. Virgo is about tending to the mundane detail in our life, getting organized, refining the details. We can use this season to organize our inbox, create new habits, update our calendars, examine our spending habits, edit our systems, clean out and clear out the junk drawer, and offer help and support to those around us who may need it.


Dates:

August 22nd/23rd: New Moon in Virgo

August 26th: Pluto opposite Venus

August 29th: Pluto out of bounds

September 7th: Lunar Eclipse in Pisces

September 21st: Solar Eclipse in Virgo


Ideas to include for Dinacharya (daily ritual) can include:


  • ​Set times: waking routine, eating, sleeping routine/sleeping
  • ​Inner Nourishment + Hydration, consider using herbs to your food and/or water to support digestion
  • ​Herbs: lemon, ginger, fennel, cumin, coriander, black pepper, licorice
  • ​Outer Nourishment + Hydration, consider self-massage using favorite body oil and essential oils that nourishes skin and promotes healthy digestion.
  • ​Essential oils: peppermint, fennel, ginger, lemon, cardamom
  • ​Yoga Styles: practice that cultivate stillness, attention to detail, and/or slowing down ie. restorative classes, alignment based, super slow flow that includes repetition, mindfulness meditation, and nourishing rituals
  • ​Postures: twists, forward folds, squats, knee to chest postures, gentle core strengthening, supine hip/leg stretches
  • ​Breath: Morning: kapalabhati (“skull shining breath”, slow forceful exhale through nose/passive inhale), Evening: nadi shodhana (“alternate nostril breathing”, inhale left, exhale right, inhale right, exhale left, repeat)
  • ​Meditation: trataka (candle or fire gazing), visualization of digestive fire, mindful eating
  • ​Nightly Introspection/Journaling: what daily rituals can support my overall well-being? What practices can help me be in sacred relationship to my physical body? What are one or two habits I can let go of that would better support my wellness?
