Mike spent the afternoon with John Dunavant from Dundas Taxidermy. Mike and John first met at a NWTF banquet, where John donated a full turkey mount to help raise funds for the local branch of the organization. A quick friendship was formed and it didn't take long to set up an interview for the podcast! John is a very interesting guy who spent 12 years as a Merchant Marine, went to Taxidermy school in Iowa, then came back home to start his business in Brunswick County, VA. John is all about taking care of veteran's and promoting the outdoors to today's youth. His motto is "Take a Child in the Wild"! Check it out!

Jenna Clark smoked a whopper of a Virginia buck in Mecklenburg County during the 2024 hunting season! She was the winner of round 2 of the Virginia Carolina Deer Tracts Big Buck and Bear Contest. In addition to the great prizes she won, she was also invited to join Shawn and Mike on the podcast. Jenna tells the story of her hunt and she naturally fits right in with Mike and Shawn's antics! A good time was had by all!!

In this episode, the dynamic duo discusses Shawn's recent success on a nice 10 point taken on his new property in Virginia. Starting from scratch on a new property has its challenges (check out Episode 19: Ground Zero) but thanks to boots on the ground and game cameras, it didn't take Shawn long to find a bachelor group with at least 2 wall hangers! Big 10 was a regular from June until hunting season started and. of course, the pattern changed. A cat and mouse game ensued with Shawn finally encountering him during the muzzle loader season! It was an exciting hunt with an exciting ending!
