Au petit matin du 30 avril 1975, les chars de l’armée nord-vietnamienne entrent dans Saigon. La guerre du Viêtnam est finie. Dans la panique générale, les derniers soldats américains sont évacués à bord d’hélicoptères surchargés, tandis que des milliers de Sud-Vietnamiens se bousculent pour essayer d’embarquer eux aussi et de fuir le pays.
