Restaurare una barca d’epoca non significa semplicemente rimetterla in acqua.
Significa entrare in una storia che è già cominciata, ascoltarla, comprenderla, e decidere con attenzione cosa salvare e cosa cambiare. Ogni barca d’epoca è una testimonianza galleggiante: di un progetto, di un’epoca, di una visione del mare che spesso oggi non esiste più.
E il restauro non è mai un’operazione neutra.
È una scelta tecnica, culturale e, in un certo senso, anche etica. In un’epoca in cui tutto tende a essere veloce, standardizzato e sostituibile, il restauro nautico rappresenta una forma di resistenza: al tempo che consuma, ma anche alla fretta che semplifica.
