El despliegue de buques militares por parte de EE. UU. en aguas del Mar Caribe ha elevado las tensiones con Venezuela ante lo que se puede temer que sea un intento de intervención. Un episodio más en la tumultuosa relación que mantienen ambos países, especialmente desde la llegada al poder del chavismo en 1998.
