Torniamo negli anni 70 a parlare di progressive con i vdgg e il loro capolavoro; Pawn Hearts, un disco atipico nella sua struttura e nei temi trattati per l'epoca, con un sound molto dark e tematiche filosofico-esistenzialiste. Non un disco per tutti i gusti ma di certo un capolavoro eterno della musica mondiale. Il disco non ebbe molto successo in patria, ma per qualche motivo misterioso, ebbe un successo strepitoso qui in Italia all'epoca, il che permise alla band di continuare il loro percorso nonostante tutto.
