    Sunday Morning | May 4, 2025 | Colby Flowers | Louisville, KY

In his May 4, 2025 sermon titled "Proverbs 7 | Digitalized Adultery," Student Pastor Colby Flowers delved into Proverbs 7 to address the modern challenges of sexual temptation in the digital age. He highlighted how the seductive tactics described in the scripture mirror today's online lures, such as pornography and virtual infidelity, which often present themselves as harmless but lead to spiritual and relational ruin.Emphasizing the importance of internalizing God's wisdom, Pastor Flowers urged believers to guard their hearts and remain vigilant against the deceptive nature of sin that promises pleasure but results in destruction. He concluded by reminding the congregation of the redemptive power of Christ, encouraging those who have stumbled to seek forgiveness and restoration through God's grace.

In his sermon "Proverbs 6: The Race to the Bottom," delivered on Sunday, April 27, 2025, Pastor John explored the dangers of spiritual and practical laziness as outlined in Proverbs 6. He warned that carelessness with financial commitments ("Lazy with Loans"), a sluggish approach to work and responsibility ("Lazy with Labor"), and a failure to nurture relationships and love ("Lazy with Love") all contribute to a downward spiral in life. Pastor John emphasized that true wisdom calls believers to diligence, integrity, and love, urging the congregation to resist the easy path of complacency and instead pursue a life of purpose rooted in God's truth.

    Sunday Morning | April 20, 2025 | John C Majors | Louisville, KY

On Easter Sunday, Pastor John delivered a heartfelt message titled "From Death to Life," walking us through the powerful story of redemption using the word LIFE spelled backwards to remind us that through Jesus, what seemed like the end was really a new beginning. He started with E—End to the Story—from Genesis 3:15, showing how God’s promise to crush the serpent’s head foretold the victory of the cross. Then came F—Full Truth—from 1 Corinthians 15:1–9, reminding us that the resurrection is not a myth but the core truth of our faith, witnessed by many. I stood for Irresistible Hope, drawn from John 11:21, where even in the face of death, Jesus brings hope that cannot be shaken. Finally, L—Longed for Love—reflected in the intimacy of the Last Supper in Luke 22 and the restoration of Peter in John 21, showing us a Savior who loves deeply and forgives completely. From death to life, this message reminded us that Easter is not just about an empty tomb, but about a risen Savior who rewrites every story with grace.

    Sunday Morning | April 6, 2025 | John C. Majors | Louisville, KY

In his sermon on Proverbs 4, Pastor John highlights the call to walk the path of wisdom—a journey shaped by tradition, intentional choice, and perseverance. He begins by emphasizing the value of a "path well worn," where the wisdom of those who have gone before us, as G.K. Chesterton notes, should guide our steps in a world often dominated by the fleeting voices of the present. Pastor John then points us to the need for a "path well chosen," reminding us through B. Waltke's insight that wisdom is not a one-time decision but a lifelong pursuit marked by discipline, study, and self-control. Finally, he encourages us to remain on the "path of perseverance," pressing on with endurance, knowing that the pursuit of wisdom is a daily, steadfast walk that leads to life.

    Sunday Morning | March 30, 2025 | Colby Flowers | Louisville, KY

In his sermon on Proverbs 3 titled "Trust in the Lord," Colby Flowers calls believers to a deep, wholehearted dependence on God rather than leaning on their own understanding. Drawing from the well-known verses in Proverbs 3, he emphasizes that true trust is not partial or passive but active and all-encompassing—acknowledging God in every area of life. Colby encourages his listeners to surrender control, especially in moments of uncertainty, and to believe that God's wisdom, timing, and direction are far greater than our own. Trusting in the Lord, he explains, is not just a comforting idea but a daily decision to walk by faith, confident in God’s faithfulness and love.

In his sermon titled "The Treasure that Delivers," Pastor John emphasizes the invaluable nature of wisdom as depicted in Proverbs 2, highlighting its paradoxes, protective qualities, and the path it offers to a righteous life.He urges believers to earnestly seek and accumulate wisdom, drawing parallels to the desperation shown in Numbers 22.To achieve this, Pastor John outlines practical steps: fervently praying for insight as encouraged in James 1:5, establishing consistent spiritual habits akin to "rutted pathways," confessing one's shortcomings, and diligently embedding God's Word within one's heart.
