How to Live an Undistracted Life (Matthew 21)

Our text confronts us with a sobering truth: it’s possible to be surrounded by spiritual activity and still miss the presence of God. Unless we choose focus on what God wants us to.

    From our Unstoppable WORD

A BUSY place is not necessarily a HEALTHY place (vs 12)

DISTRACTION is worse than OPPOSITION (vs 12)

Allow God to CONFRONT you with what COMPETES with His presence (vs 13)

Prayer ALIGNS your HEART with His (vs 13)

A SURRENDERED heart creates space for healing (vs 14)

An undistracted life isn’t built by doing more for God, but by clearing space for God to do His work in you. Watch this video to dig in a little more.

UG Live 20 - How to get promoted

Growth is not optional for a disciple. God continually invites us to move forward, upward, and deeper. To desire promotion is not prideful when it’s rooted in purpose. It’s the spiritual hunger to steward more influence, more responsibility, and more impact for the sake of others.

When you refuse to remain where you are and instead pursue God’s next for you, you align yourself with Him. Those who are willing to serve more are entrusted with more.

    Matthew 20:20-28

    - Desire to be promoted is not WRONG (vs 20-21)

    - Promotion always comes with SACRIFICE (vs 22)

    - Promotion is a GIFT not a REWARD (vs 23)

    - Promotion is not for more CONTROL but for more SURRENDER (vs 25-26)

    - Promotion is granted to those who CONTRIBUTE more than they CONSUME (vs 27-28)

Response: Are you looking for promotion? Why? Why not? What is your next step?
