Unchained Voices is a podcast produced by Renegade Production on behalf of Unchained to contribute to and expand on national conversations around the criminal justice system in the UK as well as the lived experience of people who have been through the UK criminal justice system and its prisons. ​We also want to explore the power that creative writing and music has to influence culture and potentially even the choices people make, which is a key part of Lady Unchained's mission in terms of the mentoring and workshops she conducts in prisons in the UK.Renegade Production & Becoming Unchained CIC Social Sciences

    The conversation covered a lot of territory, including Lady Unchained's conviction in 2009, her going back into prisons across the UK to deliver mentoring and creative writing workshops to inmates, establishing common socio-political ground and avoiding "wedge" issues, transcending societal division and "Black Lives Matter" vs "Black Power" to name a few ...
